Held our wedding reception here October 2025. We had a lovely day. So many comments on the food being great, (canapés, hog roast buffet, breakfasts) and the professionalism of the staff was noted. Everything was slick and went without any issues. The rooms were all fabulous and all the guests loved their rooms. Bridal suite absolutely stunning and very comfortable. Wedding planning communication was great and we felt well looked after. Lots of flexibility in what we were asking for. The grounds are lovely too for wedding photos with plenty of tree cover if it rains a bit. Overall we were so impressed with the Woodlands and very happy we chose it for our venue.

Alice and I wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the whole Woodlands team for making our day so special. Throughout the planning and on the day, nothing seemed like it was too much to ask for. Jess and the whole team made everything super easy for us! We knew the room for the wedding breakfast was going to look great but it ended up looking so much better than expected. They took our ideas and requests and made it look amazing! A big thank you to Mark too. When we saw that we would have a toastmaster we weren’t quite sure what we were getting. He certainly knows how to get the room going, which is exactly what we wanted. People were talking about him all night! Our photographer and videographer said it was a really lovely venue. It rained most of the day but they commented on how picturesque the inside of the venue is and we agree. Thank you again for making our day so special. We had the best day, and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!

We recently had our daughter’s christening at Woodlands Hotel and I honestly can’t thank the team enough. From start to finish, everything was just perfect. They kindly let us come in the night before to set up, which took so much pressure off and meant we could actually relax and enjoy the morning properly. That made such a difference. The food was amazing — so many of our guests have commented on how good it was, especially the outdoor kitchen. Everything ran so smoothly and the atmosphere was exactly what we’d hoped for. A special mention to Elenor, who was unreal across the three days. So attentive, so helpful and just genuinely lovely. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she’s an absolute credit to the venue. We also had my baby shower here back in January 2025, which was just as brilliant — so it’s safe to say we clearly love it here! We’re already looking at booking my dad’s 60th. Couldn’t recommend The Woodlands enough. Thank you for helping us create such special memories Grace x

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding coordinator, Lauren, deserves a special mention, she was so attentive, organised, and genuinely made us feel completely at ease throughout the day. The toastmaster was fantastic and kept everything running smoothly while making us feel like truly special people. The food was outstanding. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! We are beyond grateful for such an incredible experience and will always cherish the memories made here. Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a magical wedding day!

My partner and I had our wedding at the Woodlands in mid November and I couldn't recommend the venue enough. Beyond the building and grounds being such a beautiful setting the staff really made the day. Everyone is so organised and professional we didn't have to worry about anything and the day ran so smoothly. We had wedding coordinator Abbigail and toastmaster Cheryl who were both experts at weddings. Dinner ran smoothly with a man I didn't get the name of making sure each table got their correct meals and ensuring everyone was happy with their food. A few of our guests came to us to say it's the best meal they'd had at a wedding. Sarah was wonderful in the evening and so friendly. We also booked the DJ through the venue and Jonathan couldn't have been better he really understood our music taste and we had a really fantastic night. The only thing that went 'wrong' was completely out of their control and they went above and beyond our expectations. In the morning there was a powercut that meant not everyone could get a cooked breakfast, continental was still available and more than enough for us, but the staff went out of their way to refund all our guests even those who were awake early enough to get a cooked breakfast for the inconvenience. Which was so unexpected and unnecassary. We had a beautiful time and can't thank you enough!

We attended an anniversary party of my husbands cousin this weekend. We had such a lovely time staying at the hotel. Our room was amazing. Everything we ever needed was there. The hotel was so lovely and the staff looked after us both. The party was amazing and we had a lovely time. The food was amazing. There was nothing rushed. Breakfast was great too. If the hotel was closer we would come again soon. After travelling 256 miles each way it was a long journey but well worth it to visit your beautiful hotel. I will definitely recommend it to other friends. Thank you again so much.

We booked the Woodlands for our wedding in October 2025. We could not be more happy with our choice and want to personally thank Jess, Sarah and Mark from the Woodlands who were amazing at helping us with all the planning and coordinating on the day. The staff here are phenomenal at what they do, it’s the perfect hotel for weddings as they really put you first all the way through the process. The bedrooms are beautiful, the food is excellent and the venue space for weddings is gorgeous. Everyone could not stop commenting on how great the meal was, and the space itself. A special mention to Jess who worked with us from the day of viewing up until the end of the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble, she dealt with every request and query so professionally and caring. If anyone is thinking of booking the Woodlands for their wedding we would encourage that they do, they won’t regret it !! Thank you so much again. Emma & Ario Neysari xxxxx
